Athlete of the Year

The Athlete of the Year award will be presented to a male, female and senior athlete who represent the ideals of the state games: participation, sportsmanship, effort and positive attitude.

Sport Director of the Year

The Sport Director of the Year award will be presented to one of the 56 volunteer Sport Directors who exemplify the outstanding dedication demonstrated by Russ White as director of the CSG Youth Track & Field from 1988-1996.

Volunteer of the Year

The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes the selfless spirit of giving.

Mystery Torchlighter

Keep guessing! In keeping with tradition, the identity of the person who will light the caldron to officially open the Cornhusker State Games will be kept secret until the final lap around Seacrest Field and the lighting of the cauldron to officially open the Games.

Opening Ceremonies Parade Marshal

The post of Parade Marshal for the Opening Ceremonies is generally reserved to recognize a lifetime of service to sports in Nebraska.
